FEBRUARY 2012 AT HOLY CROSS

PRIMETIMERS:  The Greenville Road Warriors Hockey Game has been rescheduled to Thursday, February 9, 7:00.  Tickets will be about $8 for a party of 10 or more (it’s $2.00 beer night).  Please mark your calendars accordingly.  Cut off date is January 29.   Sun, Feb 19, 2:00, Golden Strip Bowling Lanes ($10 for 2 hours).  Sign up sheets are posted.  Questions:  renieh@charter.net (963-9631) or sharonshumaker@charter.net (963-0467)

 DISCOVERING HOLY CROSS - This class is required before Confirmation or being received by the Bishop.  It is a two part class and will be held on Friday, February 17 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm and Saturday, February 18 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.  It includes instruction in the history and beliefs of the Episcopal Church and is intended to increase your knowledge and strengthen your faith. Throughout the class there is plenty of time for questions and open discussion.  If interested  please sign-up at the sign-up center.

PANCAKE SUPPER -- FEBRUARY 21^st! Join us at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 205 E. College St., Simpsonville, SC, for our annual Pancake Supper, February 21, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. This is a youth sponsored event to raise money for their mission trip this summer.  We will be celebrating Mardi Gras with food, family fun and fellowship.  Please call the church office at 967-7470 to make reservations. We are asking $5 per person or no more than $10 for families of three or more.

2^NDANNUAL OYSTER ROAST - Save the Date!  This year's roast will be held on Saturday, March 24.  Tickets will go on sale in the Upstate on Sunday, January 29 but exclusively for Holy Cross Members only, tickets will be available for advance purchase at our Annual Meeting this Saturday, January 21!!!  For the unbelievably low price of $30, enjoy all the Oysters you can eat plus BBQ, wine, beer, fun and fellowship!  AND at the same time, help to raise money for our Outreach Ministries!  Tickets are limited so buy yours early to ensure yourself a seat at this year's most fun event!
