BLOOD DRIVE - The semi-annual Holy Cross Blood Drive will be held on September 8 from 4:00-8:00 at the church.

PUMPKIN PATCH 2010 - SAVE THE DATES - Mark your calendars.  Our two delivery dates this fall are already scheduled for Oct. 3 and Oct. 17.  We need your help.  Please come out and help unload the pumpkins at Vaughn's after the last Sunday service on these dates.  We know it's a lot of work but also included are  fun, food, friendship, exercise (ya'll can skip the gym that day) and the wonderful feeling you get working this fantastic ministry.  Our next planning meeting is scheduled for Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pavilion.  We would love to see you there.  Please feel free to call Dan and Jackie Donboch with any questions.  962-2353

HOLY CROSS DAY PICNIC - The Holy Cross Day picnic will be on September 12, after the 11:15 service in the pavilion. Please come and bring a dish to share. Paper products and drinks will be provided. Remember to wear RED. If you would like to help set up or clean up please contact Lois Korn 676-2197 or korn.lois@charter.net.

JHFR 2010: BLINDED BY THE LIGHT - Come join youth from around the diocese to find your way to the light.  We will grow together naturally through art, music, worship and even hiking!  See you there!  Who: Junior High Youth (grades 6-8) When: September 24-26, 2010 Where: Camp Gravatt Cost:$75 Registration Deadline: Friday, September 10, 2010 If you need financial assistance we have scholarship funds.

LIBRARY GRAND OPENING – Please join the Library Committee for the Grand Opening of the Holy Cross Library Sunday, September 12. The library will be open before and after each service and is located down the Christian Formation hallway, last door on the left. A library inventory and reservation forms are also available on the Holy Cross website www.holycrossep.org. Come check us out!

PRIMETIMERS:  On Thurs., Sept. 23, a tour of the BMW plant & museum  has been scheduled.  We must be there no later than 10:00 for the 10:15 tour, which lasts about 90 min.  The cost is $7 per adult.  Wear ONLY completely enclosed shoes & no highheels.  Cameras & camera phones are prohibited.  Carpoolers meet in the church parking lot to leave at 9:30 sharp.  We can have a group of 20 so sign up on our bulletin board & indicate if you want to carpool.   Let's do lunch after the

MOMS GROUP KICK-OFF – All Moms are welcome to join us September 28^th  @ 9:30 AM for our fall kickoff.  We will be reading and discussing Bad Girls of the Bible  by Liz Curtis Higgs.  We will be doing an order ahead of time for the books so please contact Lianne Thompson @ 421-2560 or Thompson_smp@charter.net to order your copy.  Books plus access to the workbook will cost $13.
